Majuli: Chamuguri. Common to very common weed of moist localities and also abundant in rice field.

Sirohi, also reported from Jodhpur. Rare in water logged areas

So far found in water- logged soil at Dharampur and Pavagadh; rare.

Southeast Asia. Bangalore, Chikmagalur, Dakshina and Uttara Kannada, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore.

Srikakulam (AP): Samarelli. Common in moist rice fields, near ponds and tanks, along streams and other wet places.

Tripura : Afghanistan, India, east to China, Japan and South to Malesia. Fairly common in wet places

W. Himalaya, hills of N.E. India, widespread in peninsular India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Borneo

Western Himalaya, absent from the N. Indian plain, reappearing in the hills of NE.India, widespread in Peninsular India. Sri Lanka, Australia, N.Borneo, N.Italy, Pakistan, Bangladesh. Orissa: Common in wet places.
