So far found in the forest undergrowth at Dangs, Vyara and Chhotaudepur.

Srikakulam (AP): Nallarayaguda, Hunnali. Occasional in the forest undergrowth near streams.

U .rufescens (DC) Schindler (Accepted name) Himalayas to China, Vietnam, Laos and Malaysia. Tripura: Throughout the state. Common as an undergrowth in the Shorea robusta forest and in grasslands.
